New Democratic Ad Blasts Republican Nominee for Being Anti-Women

By Bob Marshall

With the race for the office of Illinois’ governor now in full swing, the state is being flooded with new political ads. One, titled “Daughters,” may not be as controversial as some recent ads from the southern United States have been, but it accuses Bill Brady, a member of the state senate, of being a large opponent of women’s rights. The Democratic Governors’ Association released the ad on behalf of current Illinois Governor, Pat Quinn.

The DGA is spending $500,000 to run the ads during prime time and newscasts throughout this next week, targeting the Chicago metropolitan area in particular. Brady’s camp is responding by running a series of radio ads comparing Pat Quinn to Roman Emperor Nero. Illinois politics, you’re at it again.
