MullenLowe Group New York hired Jonathan Goldmacher as managing director. Goldmacher will be tasked with leading client relationships, business development and talent attraction along with New York president Aaron Reitkopf, who took on that role in September.

“Jonathan has tremendously diverse agency experience and exceptional leadership and innovation talents,” Reitkopf said in a statement. “He’s worked at dynamic, fast-growing, entrepreneurial agencies. He is a proven client partner who delivers thought leadership, breakthrough ideas and impressive results. It’s great to have him on board with MullenLowe Group as we grow our offering in NYC and harness the full power of our collective global capabilities.”

Goldmacher joins MullenLowe Group following a year as managing director for 360i New York. Before that he spent over two and half years as vice president, head of client services for R/GA, working closely with clients including Volvo, E*TRADE, Google and Goldman Sachs. That followed over six years as senior vice president, group director and global brand champion at McCann Erickson, where he oversaw global integrated consumer marketing for Johnson & Johnson’s Acuvue brand. He also served stints as a group account director with Arnold Worldwide and as a management director with Saatchi & Saatchi.

“Our operating model is precisely what most clients really want from their agency partner,” Goldmacher said. “Having spent the bulk of my career out in front and leading engagements with clients of all kinds, I can say with certainty that the hyperbundled group approach uniquely answers the needs of progressive, 21st-century marketers.”

“I have often felt my clients’ pain at the inflexibility and unwillingness of traditional agency structures to deliver on the real promise of holistic, integrated solutions,” he added. “So to be able to go to market leading a NY team comprised of the world-class talent that resides in the MullenLowe Group, operating as a single, purpose-driven team, is exactly the position I have always wanted to be in.”
