Mullen Lowe, Zappos Deliver Happiness to Hanover

By Erik Oster

After discovering that the small town of Hanover, New Hampshire is “fiercely loyal” to Zappos compared to its competitors, Mullen Lowe and the brand orchestrated a holiday stunt to thank the home of Dartmouth.

For the stunt, thirty Zappos employees made a run to the town in the middle of the night, dropping off some 1,900 packages full of “goodies galore” to every doorstep. Before the residents could wake up, or so the “Zappos Loves Hanover” video would have you believe, the Zappos employees got in the trucks and left, leaving the residents of the town to their surprise gifts. Regardless of the stunt’s authenticity, it will certainly lead to its share of social interactions, at least in Hanover, where we imagine its customers will remain fiercely loyal.
