Mothership/Digital Domain Welcome New CD Aboard

By Bob Marshall

Designer/director Neil Huxley has signed on as a CD at Digital Domain and its production unit, Mothership. In his new post, Huxley will work across advertising, games, marketing, films and all media at both shops. In addition, he’ll be responsible for directing/producing commercials for screens of all sizes under the Mothership banner.

The London-native most recently worked as an art director at Los Angeles-based yU+cp, where he worked on the opening title sequence of the comic book movie Watchmen (which is arguably the best part of the film), art direction on over 600 shots of the action movie Gamer and designing 3D graphic interfaces for sci-fi blockbuster, Avatar. Huxley’s work in advertising includes directing, design, animation and live shots for clients like Diet Coke, Honda, Pepsi, Spike TV, TNT and Target.

One example of Huxley’s most recent directorial work, this being for AKQA and Bethesda Softworks’ The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim videogame, can be seen here. This one’s for you, gaming geeks.
