Monday Stir

By Doug Zanger

-It’s the final stretch for the 2020 presidential election. And Joe Biden dispenses with the bombast (not that he was like that very much, anyway) with a powerfully simple ad from agency Win that reminds people of the pandemic’s human cost.

-Mother invested in a new London independent agency. Dubbed Other, the shop includes Grey, VMLY&R and W+K alums.

-A $250 million taxpayer-funded coronavirus public service campaign—featuring Santa Claus performers—was put on ice. Probably a good idea.

-Huge props to Jason Lynch, Kelsey Sutton and the rest of the team responsible for this year’s Adweek Hot List. Always a great read.

-Engine Group may be on the block.

Agencies are providing new pandemic-era perks like office furniture loans and Wi-Fi stipends.

-Fortunato co-founder and partner Rodrigo Maycotte stans Stan Richards on LinkedIn. The letter to UT he shared was also referenced in an earlier post focusing on Richards’ video apology to the University of Texas.

-Speaking of which, here’s another article on The Richards Group’s culture. But you may have caught ours earlier last week first.
