Microsoft, News Corp Possibly in Cahoots

While News Corp overlord Rupert Murdoch’s Google unfriending plot has been widely publicized, the Financial Times reports that the Mountain Valley, CA giant’s perennial rival Microsoft has been chatting with Murdoch & Co. about paying the latter to “de-index” its news sites like Wall Street Journal and The Sun from Google.

According to the FT, News Corp isn’t the first online publisher that Microsoft has been chatting with about a plan that’s “all about…hurting Google’s margins” says a source familiar with the matter.
