Miami Ad School’s Brooklyn Branch Has a New Director

By Kiran Aditham

Miami Ad School’s newly opened location in Brooklyn’s digital DUMBO neighborhood has welcomed Mehera O’Brien as its director. O’Brien joins from AKQA New York, which she helped open in 2005 and where she held a dual leadership role as creative director and director of user experience.

Before AKQA, O’Brien spent time overseas as a CD at digital shop Framfab in the Netherlands. The Brooklyn branch of the so-called “School of Pop Culture Engineering” is currently open as a Quarter Away program for current Miami Ad School students, but is expected to accept full enrollment in the future. See a shot of the classroom after the jump. Nice view at least.
