McKinney appointed Lyle Yetman as its newest group creative director. Yetman will make the move from California to North Carolina t take on the role, where he will be focusing primarily on CarMax and ESPN.
Yetman joins the agency from Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, where he spent the last eleven years. He arrived at BSSP as a copywriter in 2004, going on to work with brands including LucasArts, Sprite, Priceline.com, Converse and Radio Shack before being named a creative director with the agency. As a creative director he’s led work on MINI, Chipotle, Google, YP.com and Peet’s Coffee.
“I’d heard a lot about Lyle and his work before he decided to make the move to the Triangle,” said chief creative officer Jonathan Cude. “He has a passion for the industry and for finding the best ways to connect brands to what people really care about. That’s a killer combination. However, he has very questionable taste when it comes to sports, so we had to get over that hurdle.”
“As a GCD at McKinney, I hope to do award-winning work, bring in a ton of new business and be regarded as the nicest Boston sports fan in the building,” added Yetman.
