McGarrah Jessee and Cameron Day Part Ways

By Matt Van Hoven

After six years with the agency, Cameron Day is leaving his ECD role at Austin based McGarrah Jessee. Day is the son of ad legend Guy Day, who passed away earlier this year.

In a note to colleagues he wrote, “I’ve decided to leave the best job I’ve ever had. What’s next, you ask? It could be a car account.
It could be the wonderful world of freelance. It could be a different part of the country. Whatever happens, it will definitely be interesting and I’ll always be proud of what we accomplished here together.”

As ECD, Day worked on just about everything, an agency representative told us. If you know any ECDs in Austin or eager to move there, hitch up with this small shop and you’ll have clients like Shiner Beers, Whataburger, HomeAway and more. From what we hear they’re a solid little operation. Good luck out there, Cameron.
