McCann Announces Executive Promotions

McCann promoted Bill Kolbwho has been overseeing the company’s General Motors account as chairman and CEO of Commonwealth, to the new position of president, diversified agencies. In the role, Kolb will continue to lead General Motors, the agency’s fastest-growing account, while taking on added responsibilities driving key areas including data, analytics and media. 

Kolb originally arrived at McCann as president of Momentum in 1999, taking on additional responsibilities as COO in 2001. In September of 2004, he was named president and COO of MRM Worldwide, before replacing Marc Landsberg as CEO in 2011 and being named chairman and CEO of Commonwealth two years alter. 

Additionally, the agency promoted Lori Feld to president, MRM//McCann North America, a position formerly held by Hank Summywho moved to the Worldgroup unit in 2013. Feld has been with McCann for over fifteen years, having originally joined McCann Erickson as senior vice president, managing director in October of 2000. She was promoted to executive vice president in 2010, before being named president, MRM // McCann West three years later.

Donnalyn Smith was also promoted, to the newly-created position of president, Momentum North America. She originally joined Momentum back in 1995, most recently serving as executive vice president, regional director, North America.

In other words, the relationship between McCann and GM is strong and growing stronger.
