This isn’t the first rehashing of the MadMen opener we’ve seen, but we do like this one by marketing/ad staffing agency Markinekt. Sounds German. Anywho, the above video is called “Frosty the Ad Man,” and as much as we hate to admit it, the visual of the falling snowman (or Draper, as it were) juxtaposed over a house-of-cards like office as it falls apart feels like a metaphor for the industry.
Maybe it was always meant to be that way — advertising was falling apart long before the layoffs started — but for whatever reason, this one really struck a chord.
