Lincoln Financial Hands Creative Duties to FCB Garfinkel

Lincoln Financial Group has selected FCB Garfinkel to handle creative duties, taking over for incumbent Gyro following a review, Adweek reports. The client spent around $25 million on media last year, according to the publication.

Gyro, which had held the account since November of 2011, did not defend in the review, which was handled by Ark Advisors in New York. The review was narrowed down to three finalists in May, with FCB Garfinkel ultimately selected over Grey and Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners.

For FCB Garfinkel, the news follows the agency winning creative duties for Vonage in April, as well as the appointment of chief creative officer Eric Cosper the same month. New work from the agency is expected in the fourth quarter, at which time we’ll find out how it differs from the “Chief Life Officer” campaign of its predecessor.
