Leo Burnett Chicago Parts Ways with ‘About 10’ Employees

By Erik Oster

Leo Burnett Chicago responded to rumors of layoffs at the agency by stating that the office has parted ways with “about 10” employees this week.

The agency claims the departures are not related to Publicis’ recent restructuring and characterizes them as “rightsizing the organization for today’s needs.” The news doesn’t appear to follow any loss of business.

Leo Burnett Chicago is also currently hiring as it seeks to fill jobs unrelated to those recently lost.

This week’s departures follow a round of layoffs last November which impacted “less than two percent” of the agency’s total staff in response to unspecified account changes. Leo Burnett Chicago has also yet to name a replacement for chief creative officer Susan Credle, who left the agency for FCB at the beginning of the year.
