Leo Burnett Celebrates ‘Tomorrow’ for Kellogg’s

By Erik Oster

Leo Burnett, Chicago recently launched a new spot for Kellogg’s entitled “Tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow” celebrates the importance of breakfast and the recharging capabilities of Kellogg’s cereals in grand, anthemic, and self-consciously over-the-top fashion. Beginning by calling any of Kellogg’s cereal varieties “the most important box in the world” gives you an idea of what to expect. The ad goes on to call the addition of milk to cereal a “form of alchemy” and “a magic formula of protein and grain” which “awakens the infinite possibilities of the day.” How easy the ad goes down depends in large part on your tolerance for this self-consciously self-aggrandizing style, which has become a bit of a trend.
