Red Bull AOR Kastner, which has dropped the & Partners from its name, announced today that AKQA lead Simone Nobili is the newest creative director at its L.A. headquarters.

We last covered the incoming CD when he left AKQA in 2016 after working on the Activision and Levi’s accounts. Since then he’d been freelancing across the Bay Area (LinkedIn, BSSP) and in Hong Kong (Ogilvy, Zurich University).

Moving forward, Nobili will partner with creative leader Brandon Rochon, who joined Kastner from Leo Burnett back in 2015. According to the press release he will bring his 20 years of experience to the new partnership as well as “his invaluable cultural experience as a self-proclaimed, citizen of the world.”

Rochon said, “Simone sees the world for what it could be and is a huge addition to our agency of people who are trying to change the world.”

The incoming CD, who started his career at JWT in Rome, described Kastner as “an independent agency hungry to disrupt the ad world through creative… but more importantly, culture.” Regarding the new gig, he added, “I can truly say I’m living the dream.”

Here is Nobili’s portfolio, which includes campaigns for Call of Duty, Asics, Google and Levi’s.

Lest we forget, Red Bull is hardly Kastner’s only client. It also works with Wise Chips and SNKR INC, Rochon’s own “media brand representing sneaker culture” that he launched in 2017 with the help of Audrey Morrissey, former executive producer of NBC’s The Voice.
