Karen Sauder Out at Draftfcb

By Kiran Aditham

After spending nearly four years as managing director at Draftfcb Chicago, Karen Sauder has called it quits at the agency. We received this statement from Draftfcb: “Karen Sauder has decided to leave the agency to pursue another opportunity, effective immediately. We thank her for her many contributions to the Chicago agency since being named our managing director following the merger, and wish her continued success.”

Draftfcb says that there are no immediate plans to find a replacement for Sauder, who was named Chicago Advertising Woman of the Year in 2009 by the Chicago Advertising Federation and also made Adage‘s Women to Watch list last year. Prior to joining Draft, Sauder served as president of Zipatoni, which was acquired by IPG in 2005, and kickstarted her career in various marketing roles at Anheuser-Busch and Frito-Lay.
