AgencySpy has learned that Diageo owned Jose Cuervo and JWT are going their separate ways. A source revealed the client’s departure earlier this evening.
Diageo’s tequila joined JWT just over a year ago, when the agency won the business in a review. Among the competitors then were BBH, Arnell Group and Tribal DDB.
In 2007, Jose Cuervo spent $20 million. It dropped another $10 million in the first quarter of 2008. But we know that doesn’t necessarily mean anything these days.
