Jonathan Lee Joins Grey NY as CSO

Grey New York announced the appointment of Jonathan Lee as its chief strategy officer. Lee starts in the position today, responsible for evolving Grey’s strategy group while driving “development and implementation of a single point of view encompassing every aspect of the agency,” Adweek reports

Lee arrives at Grey from Huge, where he has served as global managing director of planning and strategy since July of 2012. Prior to joining Huge he spent around and a year and a half with Rosetta as a partner, strategic and account planning. Before that he spent nearly six years as director of account planning with TBWA\Chiat\Day. He has also served in account planning roles at Mullen, FCB and Ingalls Advertising.

“It’s been said that the future of advertising lies at the intersection of creativity, data, media and technology,” Grey North America CEO Michael Houston told Adweek. “Jonathan brings a track record of success in all of these areas as well as traditional brand planning.”

“The analogy I use is sausage,” Lee added. “You recognize the ingredients, but you get something different out of it.”
