Johannes Leonardo has promoted agency veteran Emily Wilcox to the role of managing director.
In her new position, Wilcox will be tasked with building high-functioning teams that continue to advance relationships with clients and driving agency culture. She’ll also be responsible for ensuring business objectives align with Johannes Leonardo’s creative vision as the agency pursues further growth. Wilcox will continue to serve in a leadership role for Johannes Leonardo’s executive team, in a role which encompasses aligning strategic talent and resources, driving impact across agency development, client relationships and creative output. Wilcox will report directly to Johannes Leonardo president Bryan Yasko.

Her clear passion for growing businesses and delivering outstanding creative has constantly challenged us to go above the status quo and develop dynamic ways to continue to future proof our business,” Yasko said in a statement. “I am proud to work alongside Emily and announce this promotion from within as it marks a clear signal for where JL is headed.”
Wilcox joined Johannes Leonardo as head of account management over five years ago and embraced a “single point lead model,” positioning Johannes Leonardo as a lead agency developing ideas and strategies for clients while integrating with partner agencies to reach client objectives. During her tenure with the agency, Wilcox has helped Johannes Leonardo grow its client roster and earn recognition as Adweek’s 2019 Breakthrough Agency of the Year. The promotion comes on the heels of Facebook adding Johannes Leonardo to its agency roster for Instagram. Last year, the agency also was named lead creative agency for several Kraft brands.
