Johannes Leonardo appointed Bryan Yasko as president, effective March 21, AdAge reports. In the newly-created role, Yasko will report to Johnanes Leonardo co-founders and chief creative officers Jan Jacobs and Leo Premutico.
Yasko arrives at Johannes Leonardo from Droga5, where he has served as global business director for the past three years, after arriving at the agency as group account director in February 2011. Before joining Droga5, he spent three and a half years with Publicis New York, serving as senior vice president, group account director. That followed nearly seven and a half years as partner, worldwide management supervisor with Ogilvy & Mather New York, working with clients such as Johnson & Johnson, IBM, Gillette and BP.
“Bryan completes our management team built for what we believe the industry will need over the next decade,” Jacobs said in a statement.
Yasko’s arrival follows the departure at the beginning of the year of the agency’s Trip Advisor account and chief strategy officer Andrew Dawson, who only joined the agency in July. Dawson recently landed at Deutsch New York. The agency has also made some high-profile new hires in recent months, including director of client services Emily Wilcox and group strategic planning director Mark Aronson.
