James Orsini Leaving Saatchi & Saatchi?

By Kiran Aditham

Spies sent us what appears to be a recent memo from Saatchi & Saatchi New York CEO/Americas chairman & CEO Mary Baglivo regarding the status of James Orsini, the NY office’s EVP, director of finance and operations, who is apparently leaving the Lovemarks Company soon for a CEO gig at a “NASDAQ-traded…interactive firm.” There are some interesting, cryptic phrases including “Peak Performance” and the “Greatest Imaginable Challenge” nestled within Baglivo’s memo, which is dated April 8. Read on after the jump.

Dear Saatchi & Saatchi Everyone,
We talk a lot about dreams at Saatchi.   Dreams define who we are and set us apart.

We also believe in Peak Performance, a philosophy grounded in cultivating people to enhance their inspirational capabilities so that they challenge themselves and mentor and coach others to go beyond their best.

Thus, it is with this belief, that we say a fond farewell to James Orsini. James has accepted a unique opportunity to achieve his Greatest Imaginable Challenge and become the CEO of a NASDAQ-traded, exponentially growing, interactive firm that specializes in voice, mobile retail messaging, and mobile marketing.

He will remain with us through the end of May and we’ll be announcing plans to fill his position.

In the meantime, please contact me or our senior account leadership team with questions.

My deep personal thanks to James for his many contributions to Saatchi  during the past five years; as well as his original 12 year tenure with our Saatchi family.  He has been an inspirational leader and is leaving us in strong financial and operational shape.

No good-bye is ever easy – but we all know James will continue to cultivate the meaningful relationships he established with us. (If you haven’t read his recent article entitled “The Authentic Network,” please pick up the latest issue of Princeton’s Business Today.  It’s wonderful advice and will make you feel like you just caught up with him over a cup of coffee).

We shall miss James dearly and wish him well as he embarks on his new adventure.

Stay tuned for plans regarding a proper send off in the coming weeks!

Mary
