Jack Morton Parts with New York President Rob McQueen

IPG experiential agency Jack Morton parted ways with the president of its New York operations this week.

The agency hired Rob McQueen to lead its New York office last May, and today is officially his last day in the job, though his profile page has already been removed and attempts to contact him earlier this week led to an “I am no longer at Jack Morton” email auto-reply.

An agency spokesperson wrote:

“In mid-July, Cyndi Davis, Managing Director of Jack Morton’s Princeton operation, assumed the added responsibility from Rob for Jack Morton’s New York operation.”

Prior to joining Jack Morton, McQueen spent nearly a decade with fellow IPG experiential shop Momentum Worldwide, ascending from the SVP, global account director position to become executive vice president. He’d previously held assorted marketing roles at a number of organizations outside the agency world and launched his own company called Tybalt Marketing.

The agency rep did not elaborate on the reasons for McQueen’s departure, but a couple of sources told us that the Emblem Health account went through an unspecified shakeup following the appointment of a new CEO last year and that several of Jack Morton’s recent, high-profile pitches did not result in new business wins.

Earlier this summer, Jack Morton North America announced several new hires and promotions in New York and San Francisco including new creative and account directors. One year ago it also named former Geometry Global North America CCO Bruce Henderson as its new chief creative officer.

Cyndi Davis joined Jack Morton as SVP, managing director of its Princeton, New Jersey office in 2012, and she will handle his responsibilities moving forward as noted in the quote above. Jack Morton does not plan to hire a new president at this time.
