Jack in the Box Gives Away Free Tacos

The Jack in the Box chain has called upon creative agency, Secret Weapon Marketing (you know, the one starring Energizer Bunny ad man Dick Sittig), to create a Facebook driven campaign (do you see a trend today?) aimed at maintaining and building the bond between Jack and his fans via a free taco giveaway. This campaign, dubbed “Be a Rich Fan,” ended last week and for every person who “liked” Jack, he made a nickel donation into a money jar, displayed and updated in real-time on his fan page.  Jack will reward one lucky fan with the total amount in the jar which came to $11,533.35. For the winners sake, we hope he or she gets it in bills.

Also, a new “Dentist” TV spot will announce just that: Free tacos for everyone! The “Dentist” spot is scheduled to run next week and follows Jack as he unknowingly offers free Jack in the Box tacos for everyone, while under the influence of laughing gas of course. On Tuesday, November 16th, Jack will honor his gas-induced pledge by giving everyone two free tacos after 2:00 pm. (No coupon necessary. One order per customer.) Don’t be greedy.
