A little more than a year ago, Kanye West’s mother Donda died due to complications during cosmetic surgery. The horrible mishap has ironically made its way back into the mainstream via FX’s teaser promos for the sixth season of Nip Tuck, which uses West’s song, “Flashing Lights”.
If you haven’t seen Nip Tuck, it’s a grotesque-but-impossible to ignore show about the lives of two plastic surgeons. Has anyone dies under their knives? You bet!
So, was Kanye too blinded by the financial benefit of letting FX borrow his tune to notice that he sold it to a show about the very practice that killed his supportive mother? We don’t know about you, but we won’t soon be shilling for GM, who built the vehicle that killed my dog, Max, in 2002. No sir. Well, unless the price is right.
