IPG Mediabrands CEO Steps Down

Matt Seiller is stepping down from his position as CEO at IPG Mediabrands and moving into a chairman role, AdAge reports. Seiller will be succeeded by Henry Tajer, currently global chief operating officer at IPG Mediabrands, who will relocate from Sydney to New York for the position.

Seiller has served as CEO of IPG Mediabrands since January, 2011, when he was promoted from CEO at UM. Prior to that, Seiller held various media positions at Omnicom agencies.

Tajer has served in his present role at IPG Mediabrands for nearly five years. Before that, Tajer served as CEO Australia for four years at UM and spent over six years as national trading director at Zenithmedia.

The move is just the latest in a series of senior leadership changes at IPG Mediabrands, following on the heels of Interpublic nominating three new board members. Among other recent moves, Sarah Personette exited her role as U.S. president of UM for a position at Facebook in August and Nathan Brown, executive vice president and managing director at UM, left in September.
