Chuck Maguy
Kurt Ritter, chairman and CEO for Saatchi & Saatchi West and Team One, sent out an internal memo yesterday morning informing staff of leadership changes at both Saatchi & Saatchi West and Team One, which was shared with AgencySpy.
Ritter announced that Chuck Maguy is being promoted to CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi West and Toyota Motor North America lead and Julie Michael is being promoted to CEO of Team One, effective as of January 1, 2019. Conill Advertising president Carlos Martinez and Saatchi Retail Division president Bill Cochrane will report to Maguy, while he and Michael will report directly to Ritter.

In the memo, Ritter explained that Maguy will assume overall business leadership responsibilities, while continuing to serve the Toyota division while citing his “leadership strengths, longstanding success partnering with Toyota, and his previous experience running the Lexus business while at Team One.”
He added that Michael will continue leading all five of Team One’s offices, where he said she’d earned “the respect of clients and the Team One leadership team, alike.”

I am excited to share some important organizational announcements involving Saatchi & Saatchi, Conill, and Team One that will be effective January 1, 2019.
Chuck Maguy will be promoted [from President] to CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi West / TMNA [Toyota Motor North America client] lead. Based on his leadership strengths, longstanding success partnering with Toyota, and his previous experience running the Lexus business while at Team One, Chuck is ideally positioned to be elevated within Saatchi & Saatchi to continue serving the Toyota division while assuming the additional responsibilities for overall business leadership with TMNA. Carlos Martinez [President, Conill Advertising] will report to Chuck, as will Bill Cochrane [President, Saatchi Retail Division].
Julie Michael will be promoted [from President] to CEO of Team One. Julie has been leading Team One with much success over the past three years and has the respect of clients and the Team One leadership team, alike. She will continue to lead the five Team One offices in the U.S., which of course includes Lexus and LDA accounts as well as other important clients such as Expedia, Marriott and PIMCO.
Chuck and Julie will continue to report to me, as Chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi West and will continue to provide strong partnership and collaboration to deliver best-in-the-business solutions for our clients.
