Indianapolis Ad Woman, Paula MacVittie, Fights Another Day

By SuperSpy

Long time ad veteran, Paula MacVittie, has made a surprise come back in the last few days of 2008. MacVittie has been tapped to run Marc USA Indianapolis. MacVittie sold her majority share stake in the company in 1999 to retire in the Carolinas, but when her ex-partner, Darlene Muncy came around saying the Marc wanted to sell, well, Paula was down for the cause. She has since renamed the shop Caldwell VanRiper, which was its original name before Marc USA from about 1910 to 1980. Get all that?

“This is the fourth recession I’ve been through,” MacVittie told the Indianapolis Business Journal. “We grew through the first three, and we expect to grow during this one.” She also said that “We plan to go after Indiana-based multinational companies,” she said. “I think we’ll turn some heads in this industry.”
