Brooklyn-based digital agency Huge welcomed a new managing director for Huge Canada.

Matt Di Paola arrives in the role, replacing Paul Burns, who left in June to join Twitter as business lead for Twitter Canada. Working out of the agency’s Toronto office, he will report to Huge CEO Michael Koziol.

“Matt’s leadership and experience across digital products, physical environments, and integrated communications fits squarely within the strategic focus of Huge and the current and emerging needs of our clients,” Koziol said in a statement. “His deep roots in the Toronto community and marketplace at large will help us achieve our ambition of expanding our business in Canada and continuing to bring transformative experiences to our clients.”

“Huge continues to disrupt the marketplace with its history in user-centric design, its approach to diagnosing and addressing real business problems for clients and a rare combination of consulting & creative capabilities,” Di Paola added. “I’m thrilled to join at a time when leadership is focused on defining the next era for the agency.”

Di Paola joins Huge from Sid Lee, where he spent over four years and served as managing partner, innovation. Before joining Sid Lee in 2014, he spent nearly two years as senior vice president, general manager for Critical Mass. Prior to that he served stints with Proximity Canada and MediaCom Canada.
