H&R Block Loss Results in DDB Chicago Cuts

Like any agency that suffers a major client loss, it seemed inevitable that there would be layoffs as a result of DDB losing the $150 million H&R Block account to Fallon in July after just a year.

Sources familiar with the matter confirm that the agency cut 12 staffers across the board this week including creative, account and administrative. Ironically enough, from what we’ve been told, DDB won the H&R Block account without a review and lost it just the same.
