Holiday Card Roundup, Part 2: Ugly Sweaters, Murals, Drones and More

It seems like we just finished the first round of our 2014 agency holiday card review, doesn’t it?

In this latest edition of the holiday roundup, we start with DigitasLBi, which played on an evergreen theme by asking users, “Which ugly holiday sweater are you?

We were the “Free Dickie,” though we do find ourselves to be pretty damn predictable. The page is worth a visit for the questions, but the disapproving looks from someone’s “knitting expert” grandma are even better. Most importantly, Digitas donates to Goodwill every time someone completes the quiz.

After the jump, Austin’s GSD&M team up with an indie legend.

The Texas agency worked with singer/artist/documentary subject Daniel Johnston and his managers to create a mural supporting both children and cancer victims:

While R/GA scored our “best holiday card” of 2007, the shop went a bit more basic this year:

Team One flexed its tech chops with the Carol-O-Matic, a smartphone-ready site that provides a voice — and a mouth — for those who can’t hit a note to save their lives. Check out the site to watch the video (which is perfectly in key).

Allen & Gerritsen Philadelphia made the most of the recent drone trend. Their stunt didn’t quite work the first time, but this industry is all about experimentation, isn’t it?

iris New York took the “we don’t have a card, exactly” route (and lightly challenged fellow agencies for spending so much money on theirs):

The Terri & Sandy Solution highlighted the very serious fact that one in four women experience domestic violence by donating to the Joyful Heart Foundation:

Finally, since they sent it, we present Chicago agency Fusion 92’s dubstep-ish take on timeless classic “Carol of the Bells.”
