With Advertising Week just a few weeks away, the folks behind the NYC-based event have teamed up with Buzzfeed to host an online voting contest for the 2011 Madison Avenue Advertising Walk of Fame, which we haven’t covered since the AOL Running Man, the Budweiser Clydesdales and the “Virginia is for Lovers” slogan among others were inducted. Among those vying for a place on the Mad Ave. Walk of Fame this time around on the “Icons” side include Progressive’s Flo (who already got quite the nod from EW.com readers) and Allstate’ Mayhem (that was quick) while the notable nominees in the “Slogan” category include Nike’s “Just Do It” (it seriously took this long?) and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority’s “What Happened Here, Stays Here.”
Voting kicked off today and continues through Sept. 30. Check out the full list of nominees after the jump and place your vote here.
