Heath Rudduck Has Left Digitas

By Kiran Aditham

We have two credible sources who tell us that Heath Rudduck (pictured), EVP/ECD at Digitas’ Boston HQ, has left the building and will be replaced by CD Rob Rizzo according to sources.

Rudduck joined Digitas in 2007 after spending four years as ECD at Tribal DDB/DDM Melbourne. Speculation is that he was “let go” from his post. Check out his farewell email after the jump.

Hi everyone,

As the seasons started to change here, and plenty of our own Digitas
change has been happening, I started to ask myself what that meant for me. There’s a lot of the vagabond DNA in us Australians and just
before my vacation I shared with Mark Beeching that a voice inside had started to ask: ‘What’s next?

We’ve come a long way. Incredible new business wins in Aflac and
Goodyear. Wonderful work on Brave. P&G’s innovative delights keep on
appearing. Stop & Shop is heading into new frontiers. The Buick, GMC
and GM worlds are really bubbling with fresh and bold new work. And
those are just a few of the headlines!

But as you have already guessed, the family and I have decided to seek a new adventure. It’s time to take a big breath and leap again.
There’s never a perfect time to take a leap, but this seemed like a
good moment. With incredible momentum, the team is poised to make the next quantum leap. So who takes over the creative reins in Boston?

Well I feel very privileged indeed to share with you the exciting news that none other than our wonderfully talented and much loved Rob Rizzo has agreed to take on the job of Executive Creative Director in Boston. I know you all love Rizz as much as I do. He’s an awesome guy who puts work and people first. I am incredibly pleased for him, and for the office.

Lastly I want to thank you all and wish the team every success. You
are a wonderful group. I’ve made lifelong friends here and that to me
is priceless. And who knows, with this vast Publicis Groupe network
and some discussions already in play, you may still be able to use
Lotus Notes to email me.

Cheers everyone and thank you all.
