Havas Worldwide New York announced the addition of design director Andrea Gustafson to the agency’s creative department. In the position, Gustafson will work across the agency portfolio alongside head of art Coral Garvey, reporting to group executive creative director, managing director Jason Musante.

The appointment follows five months as lead content creator at co: collective, as well as nine months freelancing for Havas, 72andSunny, Code & Theory and others. Prior to going freelance last October, Gustafson spent four years with Johannes Leonardo as a design director. While with Johannes Leonardo, she developed an internal design department, overseeing all design direction while working with clients including Nike, Coca Cola, Google, Sprite, Adidas, Bacardi, Trident and Trip Advisor. Over the course of her career, she has worked with graphic designer David Carson, Axl Rose and, in 2010, she designed the Canadian Olympic team uniform and retail collection. Other clients she has worked with include the New York Yankees, Microsoft, Budweiser, Converse, Burton Snowboards and MoMA.

“Andrea is a unique talent – a bold voice and vision that will bring even more energy and excitement to the momentum we’ve been building in the Havas New York office over the past year,” said Musante.
