Back in February, gyro New York welcomed Kash Sree as group creative director. Now the agency has promoted him to executive creative director.

Over the course of the year, Sree has worked with clients including Hewlett Packard Enterprise, the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation and Hiscox USA.

“It is not every day that you have one of the most respected creatives in advertising ready to step in and take on a top leadership role,” gyro CEO and chief creative officer Christoph Becker said in a statement. “Anyone who has worked with him can attest to the pure creative power he possesses, his understanding of what humanly relevant work looks like and the respect he receives from the industry at large.”

“There’s something special going on at gyro. I joined because of the people, and the chance to learn and make a difference in the business-to-business space,” Sree added.

Sree joined gyro after taking a hiatus from advertising following a year as chief creative officer at SS+K beginning in 2011. He has previously held roles as a group creative director at BBH New York, executive creative director at JWT and Pereira & O’Dell. Over the course of his career he has worked with brands including Nike, Coca-Cola, Axe, Nintendo, Levi’s, Chevy and Subway.
