Guy Who Tweeted His Way into CP+B Leaves for BBDO

By Kiran Aditham

If you don’t know who Chris Kahle is, let us refresh your memory. In May 2009, the copywriter worked his way into CP+B by encouraging people to send tweets urging Alex Bogusky and Jeff Benjamin to hire him. Well, Kahle’s effort did indeed get their attention and ultimately earned him a copywriting job at the agency. At the time, @bogusky told Brian Morrissey, “He figured out a way to get our attention and prove that he was interested in CPB. Most people today send a link and call it good. We have to assume they sent it to a zillion other agencies too so we don’t really pay any attention. Chris broke through.”

Now, after spending just over two years at the Boulder operation, where he worked on campaigns for Burger King, Best Buy, Kraft Mac & Cheese and Domino’s among others, we’ve received confirmation that Kahle is heading to BBDO New York and is scheduled to join the creative department there next month. We haven’t received word on his exact title or start date, but it’s pretty safe to say that he didn’t have to tweet-bomb this time around to land his new gig.
