Gustavo Martinez Replaces Gosper at McCann Europe

By Michael Musco

Barely a year after taking on the dual roles of Ogilvy’s global new business director and head of the agency’s Global Brand Management division, Gustavo Martinez has now moved over to McCann to serve as president of Worldgroup, Europe. The Argentina native, who will report to the agency’s global chief exec Nick Brien, will in turn be responsible for managing and expanding McCann’s global client portfolio throughout the region and driving collaboration across the marketing disciplines in order to bring integrated solutions to the shops clients.

Martinez, who holds a PhD in Economics, replaces Brett Gosper, who just left McCann to “pursue other opportunites” as the saying goes. The new McCann president is no stranger to the IPG agency, having once served as head of the McCann Erickson Communications Group in Barcelona during the late 90’s. In a statement, Martinez says that he’s “delighted to be coming back home.”
