Grizzly Bear Scores Expectedly Trippy Washington Lotto Spot

By Kiran Aditham

Patrick Daughters, the director of last year’s brilliant Depeche Mode “Wrong” video as well as Feist’s Grammy-nominated “1,2,3,4” ditty, teams up with Cole & Weber United on this spot for Washington’s Lottery. As mentioned, indie faves Grizzly Bear, who previously worked with Daughters on their “Two Weeks” video, provide the sunny, pastoral music that meshes nicely with Michael Rooney’s choreography. If only a mundane trip to the convenience store to purchase lotto tickets were this hallucinatory. Credits after the jump.
