GM Consolidates And Campbell-Ewald Loses A Love

By SuperSpy

How did we miss this one? ACDelco, which has been a Campbell-Ewald client since 1917 – Whoa! Rewind. Nineteen-seventeen! Holy smokes. Not to long ago, the automotive parts and service company has left the relationship to consolidate its communication work with Publicis. According to an email (see below) from Chairman Tony Hopp, the reason for the switch is because ACDelco was looking to consolidate. Publicis already handles communications for the company’s two sister divisions within the GM Service and Parts Operation.

As someone far wiser than us pointed out, don’t you love the “well, fuck it, we lost the account” attitude? No cheerleading or flowery statements about losing a loyal client. Just the facts, sir. Just the facts.
