Gillette Reinforces NASCAR Stereotype with ‘Mullet Nation’

By Kiran Aditham

It’s a mullet-sporting world and unfortunately this poor sap lives in it as depicted in this clip, which is one of six webisodes (to go along with five spots) created by BBDO as part of Gillette’s ongoing “Young Guns” campaign, which aligns the brand with NASCAR. Here, pro drivers Kyle Busch and Ryan Newman, whether purposely or not, pay homage to many a NASCAR fan by sporting the dreaded haircut while plugging Gillette’s ProGlide razor.

You can also visit the brand’s YouTube site to see several clips featuring NASCAR drivers and vote for your favorite. The highest vote-getter receives $10,000 for their charity. Credits after the jump.
