George Takei’s Quite Taken with Sharp’s New 4-Pixel Technology

By Kiran Aditham

Ever since he took on the “announcer” job at Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show in 2006, it seems George Takei’s pop culture cachet has increased tenfold. Here, the man best known as Sulu to Trekkies and who recently had a starring role on Heroes continues to bask in the limelight as the labcoat-wearing spokesman for Sharp.

There’s nothing quite like hearing Takei’s yelp and his signature “Oh my…” after he takes at look at Sharp’s 4-pixel technology which was just rebranded as Quattron. While those of us stuck with the standard RGB color system can’t see what the Sharp Aquos telly has to offer, Takei does yet another fine job in keeping things entertaining.
