-Singing into your gas pump like it’s a microphone is a time honored tradition in the Midwest. Well, that’s not even remotely true, but a Nebraska-based gas and convenience store chain is betting on some cheesy charm from the act of singing its jingle into the pump to promote its rewards program.

Pump & Pantry is showing customers singing the jingle, “Pump Up My Day” in a campaign from Slugger Creative, including a 70s-era Elvis impersonator and a hockey mom who really doesn’t want to hold a gas nozzle to her mouth. Sure, it’s silly, but just try to resist humming that jingle.

-East coast behemoth energy provider Con Edison has tapped Code and Theory as its agency of record. The agency will partner with MDC Partners’ Assembly on media buying and planning responsibilities.
