-As you watch a movie, does the setting catch your attention? QuickBooks wants to make sure you notice to the small businesses that serve as iconic locations in movies, especially as the Oscars approach. “Small Business Spotting” by TBWA\Chiat\Day LA and Intuit QuickBooks is a digital campaign that leverages the insight of film tourism and shines a spotlight on San Fernando’s Majers Coin Laundry, which is featured in a certain metaverse-traveling mom movie, and Dinah’s a diner featured in a certain bowling movie about a Dude, among others. The goal of the campaign is to increase recognition for small businesses around the U.S.

-Sports tech company FanDuel has expanded its account with Horizon Next, the Horizon Media subsidiary that specializes in sports media.

-Global branding agency Jones Knowles Ritchie is partnering with Useful School, the pay-what-you-can online design curriculum for people of color, to launch a course titled, “Beginner Branding,” which aims to set rising POC branding students up for success and increase their confidence as they learn on-demand skills such as storytelling, writing, presenting and responding to feedback. The course will run between May-July, and applications are currently open.
