Friday Odds and Ends

By Patrick Coffee

-McDonald’s and Leo Burnett had a “Good Time” together in the U.K. Things might be a little different in the U.S., though.

-Horizon Media extended the Post-It Wars by creating its own Snapchat geofilter today.

-New York-based creatives Juan Leguizamon, Dave Gordon, and Tennille Teague created “Wall for Trump” allowing users to build a virtual barrier around The Donald. (You have to donate to an alternate candidate to get more bricks, though.)

-Content specialist Gauri Joshi of MEC India (GroupM) created a “Cannesfessions” video explaining why she wants to go to Cannes as part of an agency competition.

-Heineken is looking for a second global media agency to “complement” Starcom MediaVest Group. Hmm…

-Speaking of Heineken, hashtags are often dumb. But this ridiculously long one from Publicis Milan is kind of funny.

-The latest client to create its own in-house agency is News UK (publisher of tabloid The Sun), which will mash “a consortium of WPP agencies” together.

-Milwaukee’s BVK has been named agency of record for Alto-Shaam, Inc., a “Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin-based supplier of commercial kitchen equipment.”
