-Emily Hodgson and Emilie Riis, creative producer and strategist, respectively, at London agency 18 Feet & Rising, have launched a social media campaign called Purple Unicorn Planet urging Nike to make its “coolest” men’s trainers available in women’s sizes. link

-IPG has now posted its Q2 numbers, which include a 2.4  percent revenue increase to $1.76 billion but a 19 percent net income drop as well. link

-On the same day that it had its worst showing on Wall Street since early 2009, Microsoft jabs at the iPad again in a new spot promoting the Surface RT tablet (above). link

-Three-year-old Minneapolis-based advertising/design firm Fellow added 39-year-old co-op market The Wedge and newly founded First & First Creative Real Estate to its client roster. Fellow has also worked on projects for the likes of Target and the University of Minnesota.

-The Miami Heat say farewell to three-point ace Mike Miller, who the team amnestied this week, via full-page ads in South Florida papers. link
