Forsman & Bodenfors Picks Up Creative, Strategic AOR Duties for Money App Qapital

“Goal-oriented money app” sounds like something designed to get make us more frugal, so we’re all into it.

And Qapital, which fits that description, has picked Forsman & Bodenfors as its lead creative and strategic agency after a competitive review.

There is a connection between the two parties involved in this story: both are Swedish. But only the latter has helped people save more than $1,500 per year, according to a Fast Company writeup.

Founders George Friedman and Katherine Salisbury launched their app in the U.S. three years ago, and they claim the number is closer to $5,000. But more money is more money, right?

“We chose Forsman & Bodenfors because of its reputation in the industry, incredible strategic and creative work for clients, as well as the strong chemistry between our teams,” said Friedman, and F&B CEO Mike Densmore (formerly president) describing it as “a brand that fits perfectly with our agency vision of helping brands behave as ‘unusually human.'”

We don’t currently have spending numbers for Qapital, but they’ve been light on the marketing. Here’s an effort from 2015 that focused on an artist just trying to maintain.

One more note, though: the app is no longer free.
