Santa Monica-based indie digital agency Blitz has welcomed Cathy Saidiner as its new president. Saidiner, if you remember, held the same title for three-and-a-half years at McCann Erickson’s Los Angeles office. The exec’s position at Blitz, which recently picked up Dole and Vizio business, is a newly created one.
Prior to McCann, Saidiner spent nearly eight years at TBWA\Chiat\Day, assuming roles including global and group account director along the way. The new Blitz prez has also spent time on the client side as national advertising manager for Nissan’s Infiniti division and in the brand management department at Mars, Inc.. So, one can say her eventual move to Chiat seems rather logical. In her new role, Saidiner will lead client services and oversee brand strategy and delivery.
