The all American Barbie doll was born on March 9, 1959 right here in the good ole US of A. Yesterday she turned 50, and to honor that the company teamed up with non-American carmaker Fiat to create the little beauty you see here.
Now, Barbie is most definitely a world-renown figure. She’s been giving women body complexes since, well, ’59. But this “woman of the world” would have done well to celebrate 50 in American style — possibly in a Chevy Aveo or a Ford Focus. Just sayin.
