Firstborn to Shutter LA Office

By Matt Van Hoven

New York based Firstborn Multimedia will close its Los Angeles office by the end of June, according to Firstborn founder/owner Michael Ferdman.

For the last three and a half years, there have been some five people working out of the office, says Ferdman. The agency “never really got over the hump” he wrote in an e-mail. “[T]he real issue was duplicating what we have in NY.”

The office always employed from 3 to 6 people. Of the five, two will be brought back to New York, one already has another job and two others will be let go with severance packages.

Any remaining work will be directed back to New York, says Ferdman.
