Firstborn Named Experience AOR for S&P Global, Welcomes New Hires

By Erik Oster

S&P Global appointed New York-based Isobar Global Network design and innovation agency Firstborn as its experience agency of record.

The appointment is part of S&P Global’s strategy of strengthening its technological capabilities across its enterprise. Firstborn has worked with S&P Global on a project basis for the past three years on the redesign and development of five global enterprise platforms.

“We’ve spent the past three years working with S&P Global, getting to know their business intimately and working with them to become a truly digital-first organization, so this progression was certainly a welcomed and natural one,” Firstborn CEO Dan LaCivita said in a statement. “Now, as S&P Global’s experience agency of record, we’ll look to extend our work by creating new customer experiences at both the marketing and product level. This is already a proven partnership, and we’re excited for the next chapter of our relationship.”

“Over the last three years, Firstborn has helped build the foundation for our digital transformation,” added S&P Global vice president, brand and digital Alice Cherry. “Together, we will now partner to deliver on the cultural and organizational shifts needed to deliver great customer experiences across every touch point.”

Firstborn also recently hired Drew Dahlman as technical director, Rajan Ayakkad as director of user experience and Daniela Chavez as art director.

Dahlman (pictured, left) will be tasked with overseeing development from architecture to implementation across multiple clients. He arrives at Firstborn from Denver-based production studio Legwork, where he most recently served as technical director.

Ayakkad (pictured, right) joined the agency with over 10 years of multiplatform design experience, most recently as lead UX designer for business marketplace Kinnek.

Chavez (pictured, middle) will work on Firstborn’s Jägermeister, Adidas, Mountain Dew and Chevron accounts. She arrives at the agency from DML, where she served as an art director and worked with clients  including Nike, Voss Water, Hermès and Tom Ford.
