FCB West Hires Co-ECD Justin Moore Away From Venables Bell & Partners

The San Francisco offices of FCB have swiped a top creative director from nearby indie VB&P.

Justin Moore joins FCB West as co-ECD after two years overseeing Audi at Venables, where he worked on that backwards Super Bowl spot (you know the one). He will share that title with Mike Long, who was recently promoted. Long, who came to FCB early last year to work on its Levi’s business, had been with GS&P.

Long and Moore will both report to CCO Karin Onsager-Birch.

“I couldn’t be more excited about having Justin join us. I’ve been a fan of his work since long before I met him. He and Mike make a formidable ECD team,” said the CCO in her statement. “The combination of their talents, drive and collaborative spirits is going to help us continue our momentum and to drive the work for our clients to greatness.”

Moore is also a GS&P veteran. He led the Cisco account there after a dozen years with BBH London spent working on accounts like Johnnie Walker, Axe, British Airways … and Audi.

“I’m delighted to join the growing team at FCB West. We’ve got a winning combination of fabulous clients, diverse talent and a generous spirit that you can feel just by stepping through the door,” he said.

The new co-ECD is not the only top creative to leave VB&P this year. In January, associate partner and CD Lee Einhorn went to Partners in Crime, the Bay Area operation created to address the “death of the AOR” by approaching each client opportunity in a different way.
